In 2005, John Sharpe launched Mirrabooka Riverlife alongside Eddie Ruska and the Nunukul Yuggera Aboriginal Dancers. The integration of First Australians, native wildlife, and the natural environment has been a unique advantage in tourism.
Today, Mirrabooka continues to perform at Riverlife along the banks of the Brisbane River, providing educational and corporate experiences. Having performed for thousands of people worldwide, Mirrabooka has toured the UK, Europe, Canada, the USA, New Zealand, Korea, and the South Pacific.
That same year, Riverlife Events and Weddings was established. With magnificent views across the Brisbane River to the moored yachts, botanical gardens, and city lights, it quickly became a sought-after venue, offering a relaxed, subtropical atmosphere.
After years of hosting public events such as Riverfire, Cinco de Mayo, and New Year's Eve, Riverlife Weddings and Events remain as popular as ever, with thousands of successful events delivered. Today, The Fresh Collective manages all events at Riverlife.
